All The Wrecks in the World draws on a global survey of shipwreck coordinates, cleaned and rewritten into a single sentence for each wreck. Every sentence has been rendered as a spoken audio clip. A script, player_radar.py, sets the installation's own location as a fixed centre and sweeps outward across the dataset like a radar arm, deciding the order in which the clips are heard by their bearing from that point.
Played from a Raspberry Pi and a single speaker, the full sequence runs continuously over roughly three days.
This page maps the same dataset onto a Dymaxion (Airocean) projection, unfolding the globe as one continuous surface without political borders or a privileged orientation. Each wreck appears in turn and its position is marked; the mark is kept. Over time, the wrecks accumulate into a map of their own, and the shape of land emerges only by its absence, a nowhere no ship wrecked.
